Although the existence of cosmic rays with energies extending to 320 EeV has been confirmed, their origin remains one of the most important questions in particle astrophysics today. It has been suggested that the highest energy events observed could be coming from clustered arrival directions, thus indicating definite point sources for these events. The High-Resolution Fly's Eye (HiRes) is the largest aperture detector currently collecting data from ultra-high energy cosmic ray events. We are presenting the findings of our autocorrelation study for the arrival directions of the approximately 70 events above 30EeV that are contained in the HiRes-1 monocular data set.
