Supernova Remnants of center-filled and composite types often host young, energetic pulsars emitting strong relativistic winds. Chandra and XMM-Newton observations of such SNRs have already resulted in a number of pulsar and pulsar-wind nebula (PWN) discoveries. We propose to complete the X-ray census of plerionic remnants within a 7 kpc distance, which we have begun in XMM-Newton AO-4. The SNRs were selected based on their radio morphologies and archival ROSAT or ASCA data. This short survey will substantially expand the sample of PNWe and pulsars observed in X-rays and help to establish the properties of the overall population.
