Observations of Comet Giacobini-Zinner were obtained on one night and of Comet Halley of three nights. When the comet becomes high enough it is hoped to obtain further observations of Comet Halley. Considerable progress was made in developing a probabalistic model for the emission of neutral dust by the nucleus of the comet. A preliminary comparison between the model and the observed intensity profiles in continuum filters is made. The model can also be used to compute the expected impact rates of dust on spacecraft flying past the comet.
