The possibility is explored that most of the universe is composed of weakly interacting non-baryonic particles. These particles comprise most of the mass of the galaxy's halo. Some of these particles were captured by the Sun in elastic scattering off of nuclei of the Sun. Once inside the Sun, they are very effective at energy transport. They alter the thermal profile of the Sun, thus reconciling the predicted solar neutrino flux with observations. If they exist, these particles could be detected by low temperature detectors.
