Scientific paper

A progress report on recent observational work undertaken on the pulsating white dwarf L 19-2 is presented. This object was observed during the 1995 multi-site WET campaign, XCOV12. In addition, the star also has been observed from a single-site (Mt. John) in 1994--1997. The high-speed photometric data-base for this object now spans 20 years. The prospects for detecting a period change as a result of evolutionary cooling effects are examined.
