We performed photoelectric BVR observations of 198 visual components in 82 multiple systems. We used a special technique for the measurements with a classical photometer. In our study of close visual binaries, we employed a new instrument - an astrometric scanning photometer; its design is described. Based on our photometric data in combination with the positions and proper motions of the components from the GSC, Hipparcos, and Tycho catalogs, we determined whether the distant companions are physical members of the system. Almost all trapezium-type visual systems turned out to contain optical components. Forty percent of the distant components from the WDS catalog are optical. We discovered six new visual components, three candidates for T Tauri stars.
