We are developing models for the recombination of electrons with neutral and charged compact PAH molecules in interstellar environments. Our immediate objective is to determine the relative importance of simplifying assumptions which are made in the calculation of electron capture cross-sections from sphere or disk models. Electron recombination rates calculated for representative interstellar conditions will lead to a prediction of steady state relative abundances of PAH charge-states. We will present preliminary results which highlight the effect of the de-localized PAH cation charge.
