The paper examines the contribution of an individual star to galactic enrichment on the basis of stellar chemical evolution calculations using a spherically symmetric nonrotating stellar model; attention is confined primarily to tentatively identifying the stellar source of several elements in the interstellar medium. Consideration is given to the contribution of low-mass, intermediate-mass, and massive stars. Implications for galactic nucleosynthesis are discussed.
