The thermocapillary flow in a thin liquid layer present in a differentially heated cavity is analyzed in the limit of creeping flow. Away from the end walls, it is shown that the flow field is parallel. The turning of the flow is accomplished in regions near the end walls. The method of matched asymptotic expansions is used to analyze the flow fields in these regions. An analytic solution has been obtained to the inner equations using the method of biorthogonal series expansions. The coefficients in the infinite series expansion for the streamfunction have been determined numerically after truncation of the series.
