Periodic rotational solutions to the second-order differential equation describing the motion of a satellite relative to its center of mass in the plane of an elliptical orbit are examined. A class of symmetric periodic solutions that satisfy simple boundary conditions is obtained for the cases of a slightly elliptical orbit and a nearly symmetric satellite. Numerical calculations are used to extend these solutions to large values of orbital eccentricity and the satellite inertial parameter.
