I present a status report on the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), which is preparing to start early science in 2011. The construction of ALMA is proceeding well, and ALMA is well on its way to becoming the largest ground-based astronomy facility in the world. After reviewing ALMA capabilities and status, I will also mention some complementary facilities and discuss the likely path forward of radio-millimeter-submillimeter (RMS) astronomy over the next decade. Given that ALMA is the largest truly international astronomy project, I will conclude with some observations on international collaborations in science.
