Emission line velocity fields were measured to an accuracy of approximately 15 km/s in the barred spiral galaxies NGC 2525 and NGC 7741 using long slit, IPCS spectra. The velocity fields of both galaxies are consistent with pure circular motion within observational error. An upper limit to any systematic deviations from circular motion of the type predicted by several recent hydrodynamic models of barred spiral galaxies can be set at 20-30 km/s. The average mass-to-light ratio for the 'visible' parts of both galaxies is 1.5 + or - 0.5 in the B passband.
