Contrary to the oft expressed opinion, however misconceived, that Venus is a faceless wonder, best left to Pioneer 1978-9; diligent observation, pursued with a methodical attitude, has and will continue to yield intriguing insights into the nature of this aptly named planet shrouded in her many mysterious veils. This paper describes the revised programme and the observational procedures to be followed by those members interested in this fascinating object.
