He II 4686 A line radial velocity variations that are in phase with the 5.25-hour binary period have been detected in the low-luminosity X-ray binary 4U 2129+47, where the observed K velocity of 216 + or - 70 km/sec implies a compact object mass of 0.53 solar masses. This low system mass suggests that the object may be a degenerate dwarf. While the 4686 A line is broad, and may originate in an accretion disk, the 4640 A feature is narrow and may originate at the heated face of the normal star, as is attested by its radial velocity.
