A description is given of the enhanced density of the solar-interplanetary and cosmic ray phenomena concentrated in the March 23-April 7, 1976 period, which was almost at solar minimum. An attempt is then made to correlate the solar-flare causes with their geomagnetic, cosmic ray and solar wind effects in interplanetary space through a macroscopic analysis of these phenomena. It is determined that the March 26 and April 1 enhancements were of geomagnetic origin, and were especially pronounced in middle latitude stations during the large Dst magnetic field depressions. The multiple Forbush decreases are related to the type IV solar flares, and all are produced by the same active region. An attempt is made to relate the March 30-April 1 shock fronts with the erupted solar flares and storm sudden commencements recorded on earth, and to estimate a lower limit for the deceleration distance of the shock waves.
