We describe the properties of 66 localized gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) detected by HETE-2 through December 2003. We discuss the duration distribution for this burst sample and the apparent absence of short bursts. We also discuss the frequency of detection of soft features similar to those seen in the bright GRB 030329 - - precursor events and underlying soft X-ray components.
