Claims of low-significance X-ray lines and transient absorption features have been made for several Gamma-ray burst afterglows. If real, these features provide strong diagnostics on the geometry and chemical composition of the circumburst emitting region. We report on a detailed analysis of two recent X-ray afterglow data sets taken with Chandra: GRB030328 and GRB041006. Both are approximately day-long observations with the LETGS, starting within one day of the GRB. We discuss the time dependence of the spectra during each observation. We find no evidence for highly significant, transient spectral features.
