We study the scaling relations of X-ray luminosity, temperature, and velocity dispersion for galaxy groups created in a {Λ }CDM cosmological simulation. We examine the effects of supernovae-driven galactic winds and varying resolutions. As in observations of galaxy groups, our simulated LX - σ and LX - TX relations are steeper and the TX - σ slightly shallower than those of both self-similar models and observed galaxy clusters. Both the LX - σ and LX - TX relations are best fit by a significantly steeper power-law below σ ˜ 300 km s-1. We compare our results to observations and explain the implications of our simulations for radiative cooling and nongravitational pre-heating in galaxy groups.
