The figure-eight has been found to be a stable, periodic solution to the
equal mass three body problem. The three bodies traverse the path of the
eight with a phase shift from each other of one-third of a period. We
use a numerical model of this solution in order to identify observable
stellar signatures of such an orbit should one really exist.
