The Gemini Deep Deep Survey (GDDS; Abraham et al. 2004, AJ, 127, 2455) employed the Nod & Shuffle mode of the Gemini Multi-Object Spectrograph (GMOS) to obtain ultra-deep spectra of an infrared-selected (K<20.6, I<24.5) sample of galaxies with median redshift z=1.1. Redshifts measurements were done using the strong emission/absorption features such as [OII] lines or hydrogen Balmer lines for galaxies with z<1.7. For galaxies with redder color, template matching was used as an aid for redshift measurements.
We here report results from follow-up imaging of the GDDS fields obtained using the Advanced Camera for Surveys (ACS) on the Hubble Space Telescope (HST). We have measured asymmetries, concentrations and gini coefficients for this sample and looked for correlations with color, redshift and spectral class. We present the results from a search for the detailed relationships between galaxy morphology and spectral features.
