Measuring Machines: Systematic Errors

Scientific paper

Systematic errors of the automatic device PARSEC for astrometric and photometric measurements are investigated. The shift of zero-point of the coordinate system and the scale variation are found. They may cause the errors of coordinate measurements of about 5 μm. The magnitude equation error of about 10 μm is found too. It may be corrected by measurements of the plate at two positions. The mean accidental error of coordinate measurements is approximately 1.5 μm.
