Various manifestations of the response of the corona to the solar cycle are examined. Particular asttention is given to modulation effects associated with the 11-year cycle; the relationship between the solar magnetic field and the corona; and the measurement of activity effects in the corona. A possible description of the solar cycle in the corona involving a superposition of several consecutive cycles is presented.
