Attention is given to the problem posed by the reconstruction of a visibility phase from very long baseline aperture (VLBA) synthesis data. It is presently demonstrated that a multielement system comprising four radio telescopes, including one in orbit, significantly contributes to the 'phase problem' solution. Numerical simulation results are presented for a method capable of completely reconstructing the visibility phase.
