The first Soviet geodynamic satellite Etalon has been launched into circular orbit with a semimajor axis of 25,000 km. At these heights the effect of nongravitational forces, especially solar radiation pressure, becomes significant. In order to take these perturbations into account, an algorithm for calculating shadow and half-shadow regions of the orbit has been developed. The back-reflection coefficient of the satellite was evaluated.
