Analysis of spectrophotometric observations of the equatorial zone (EZ) and north equatorial belt (NEB) in the 600 to 750 nm region shows more methane and less ammonia molecular absorption in the NEB than in the EZ as well as different optical characteristics for western and eastern edges of the disk. The EZ and the NEB reveal a different height dependence of the aerosol volume scattering coefficient. Relative concentration of ammonia (in relation to the helium-hydrogen mixture) is 0.000065 + or - 0.00001 for the EZ and 0.000052 + or - 0.000008 for the NEB. In the region of weak absorption bands, including the band at 727 nm, the cloud particle scattering coefficient increases slightly with depth for the EZ, while for the NEB it remains practically constant.
