Comparisons have been made between the calculated foF2 and observations made at eight ionosonde stations in China in the 21st solar activity cycle. It is noted that the foF2 calculated using the International Union of Radio Science (URSI) coefficients are more accurate than that calculated using the Consultative Committee on International Radiopropagation (CCIR) coefficients, and the Asia Oceania Region F2 Layer mapping (AOR) gives the best foF2.
