Spectrophotometry is presented of 18 stars with V = 17-18 in the galactic field l = 10 deg, b = -22.3 deg. These stars are chosen from a group of stars with (B-V)0 = 0.3-0.5 that are in numbers excess to those predicted by galactic structure models. Radial velocities and calcium abundances are determined and it is shown that the sample is composed of two groups of stars, one representing the old disk and spheroid population of the galaxy with Ca/H = -0.4 to -1.2 and a radial velocity dispersion of 105 km/s, while the other group have a calcium abundance, Ca/H greater than -0.4 and a velocity dispersion of 36 km/s. It is argued that the stars in the latter group are representative of the observed excess stars in this galactic field and that their space density decreases toward the galactic plane. Certain possible identifications of this population of anomalous F stars are discussed and ruled out.
