CO emission from the Seyfert galaxy NGC 1068 has been mapped at 22 arcsec spacing, and the cloud distribution is derived on a scale much smaller than the 4.8 kpc antenna resolution by implementing an iterative rectification scheme that locates emission within the beam by exploiting the spatial information implicit in the line profiles when gas kinematics are known a priori. This procedure has revealed two components: a bright arm of molecular clouds containing approximately one-third of the emission, and a more uniform component which encompasses about two-thirds of the total emission inside R = 3 kpc. The arm deduced from this analysis has a spatial extent similar to that of the bright optical arms and a region of extended 10-100 micron emission, suggesting that the extended high luminosity component is energized by a burst of star formation.
