Detailed considerations of balance are invoked to show that the pair annihilation spectral emissivity and the reaction and cooling rates of electrons and positrons possessing relativistic Maxwell-Boltzmann distributions can be expressed as single integrals over an integrand which contains the cross section for the process of photon-photon pair production. Simple spectral emissivity expressions are given that are valid at all photon energies and particle temperatures.
