The possible effects of seeing on the forbidden O III/H-beta flux ratio and H-beta equivalent width in Seyfert 1 spectra is quantitatively investigated in order to estimate how variable seeing might affect measurements made under different conditions with a single instrument or with different instruments of nearly identical entrance aperture. A seeing-convolved model of the radial surface brightness distribution for circularly symmetric face-on galaxies is constructed. It is found that seeing variations alone cannot systematically affect measurements of the H-beta equivalent width in Seyfert 1 spectra by more than about ten percent under reasonable observing conditions. The forbidden line O III/H-beta flux ratio is also not affected by more than ten percent where the spectrograph entrance aperture projects to more than twice the size of the narrow line region. For apertures close to the size of the narrow line region, seeing alone can systematically affect that ratio at the 25 percent level.
