Gemini-Phoenix and VLT-UVES high resolution spectra are analysed for individual stars of the metal-rich bulge clusters NGC 6528 and NGC 6553. We discuss the questions of effective temperature and reddening vs. excitation equilibrium with Fe I lines. Abundance ratios are derived and alfa-element enhancements are discussed in the light of effects on the continuum. Discussions on the consequences of the abundance ratios for the formation of the Galactic bulge will be presented.
