I will make a summary of the formal programs for education in astronomy en different countries of Latin America. I will provide a list of three different groups of countries, one with those that have very well developed careers in Astronomy, another group of countries that will need some efforts to consolidate incipient careers, and a third group that will need strong efforts to develop formal education in astronomy.
