The radio pulsar PSR1055-52 was observed by EXOSAT for 100,000 secs. The
data can be fitted best with blackbody spectra with temperatures of
500,000 to 800,000 K. The obtained temperatures are consistent with
models for the initial cooling of neutron stars.
