The galactic center, the precessing neutron star Her X-1, deterministic chaos and nonlinear dynamics, and the origin of the cosmic 1.8 MeV gamma line of radioactive Al26 are discussed. Near-Earth plasma physics and comet physics experiments were performed, energetic ions and electrons in the magnetosphere and the interplanetary space were studied. Infrared astronomy observations, instrument developments, and theoretical work were performed. In X-ray astronomy, observations, observation systems, laboratory investigations, and theoretical studies were conducted. In gamma ray astronomy, flare and burst phenomena, and low and high energy gamma ray astronomy were studied.
