A series of 33 photographs of the September 12, 1985 chromospheric eruption, observed at the limb with the Sorbonne Observatory prominence spectrograph, are analyzed, showing a homologous-eruption spatial evolution, with a rapid flash phase followed by a slow relaxing phase. The morphological evolution of the eruptive prominence consists of an initial chromospheric eruption followed by the appearance of a dense conical ringlike prominence, and finally, an ejection of rectilinear fibrous matter which reaches a velocity of 500 km/s. The analysis of the prominence dynamics indicates a constancy of magnetic structures, and shows the influence of the various chromospheric elements upon one another.
