Observations performed with the VLA at 6 and 20 cm reveal a nuclear radio jet in the central region of the barred spiral galaxy NGC 613. CCD surface photometry in O III 5007 A forbidden line light shows a corresponding optical feature. Optical spectroscopy shows excess velocities in the O III forbidden line along this feature, which can be interpreted as outflow perpendicular to the plane of the galaxy. In addition, an extended radio structure surrounds the nucleus.
