In the printed paper, the fifth sentence in the abstract is missing a word. The correct sentence should read: ``A couple of mid-M spectral type β Pic members show emission features (He I λ5876+λ6678 and Na D λ5890+λ5896) that are not seen among earlier spectral type stars in the TWA and β Pic groups.''
In Table 1 certain errors were introduced when proof corrections were not carried correctly to the final printed version. Specifically, (1) only TWA members should have TWA designations (TWA 21-25), and (2) error bars for HIP 11437B were misprinted. A correct version of Table 1 is given here.
Finally, because of the small size of Figure 9 in the printed version of the paper, the symbols used for Pleiades and Hyades stars are very hard to distinguish. These are now easily discernible in the larger version given below.
The press sincerely regrets these errors.
