Photoelectric lightcurves of eight double-line eclipsing binaries, known as detached systems, have been analyzed by means of Wood's program in order to obtain homogeneous photometric elements. Masses, radii and luminosities are given. V539 Ara, AS Cam, Y Cyg, MY Cyg, V624 Her, AO Mon, V451 Oph and BH Vir are normal main sequence systems easily interpreted in the context of current evolutionary views. For BH Vir the uncertainties are so large that it is not clear whether the primary (hotter) component or its companion (which is more probable) is the more massive (and larger) star.
