An experimental apparatus was set up for studies of far-infrared properties of frozen H2O and other ices to determine the characteristics of ices in selected astronomical objects. A set of far-infrared spectra were recorded under a variety of conditions of temperature, solid form, and thermal history for the samples. The measurements were made by passage of an infrared beam through ice samples.
