The composition of O, B and A-type spectra in the ultraviolet as revealed by observations made from astronomical satellites are reviewed. The resemblance to F-type spectra studied by K. O. Wright are noted. Some predictions will be made of the details expected to be revealed in the spectra of 31-Cygni-type binary stars obtained by the IUE satellite. The analysis of ultraviolet data on 31-Cygni-type stars is expected to follow methods developed and exploited by Wright in his studies of such binaries.
