During polarization and photometric observations of the isolated Herbig Ae star, BF Ori, during 1987-1988, high linear polarization was observed in deep minima. Analysis of the observations shows that the probable source of polarization is the scattered light from the circumstellar-dust disklike envelope that is the analog of the solar zodiacal light. The results suggest that the bimodal distribution of positional angles of linear polarization in the giant cloud L 1641 reflects a complex structure of the magnetic field in the cloud.
