A relation between the standard B-V and U-B color indices and the spectral types of globular clusters in M31 is examined along with the positions of standard-color lines for these clusters on the two-color (U-B) - (B-V) diagram. It is found that the shape of reddening lines on the two-color diagram increases with spectral type and is larger for M31 clusters than for Milky Way clusters, indicating different interstellar extinction laws for the two galaxies. It is argued that the Q index (which characterizes cluster metal abundance) cannot be used as an absorption-free classification parameter for the M31 clusters. UBV photometry is suggested as a possible means of deriving a quasi-spectral classification system for these globular clusters.
