The observed V light curve of the eclipsing binary RT Persei has been analyzed by four different methods of solution to obtain the geometrical and photometric elements of the system. The results show good agreement within about 6%. The system exhibits a variable light curve, and a tentative hypothesis is made to explain this behavior by considering a dynamical instability that may be responsible for matter circulation through the system as well as for the variability of the period.
