Of prime importance in the study of gasdynamic phenomena in stellar atmospheres is the ability to solve the radiative transfer equation in a nonequilibrium inhomogeneous moving plasma. This paper describes a flexible and efficient method for solving this type of problem. The method is based on a perturbation-series solution of the transfer equation. The terms in the perturbation series are obtained by repeated solution of a very simple transfer equation; the final solution may be as accurate as the application requires.
