The light variations of the Be star Pi Aqr are reviewed. This star has brightened by about 0.2 magnitude in the visual part of the spectrum during the last two decades. The brightening is correlated with a reddening in (B-V) by about 0.1 magnitude, a marked increase in H-beta emission, and enhanced polarization of the visual continuum. A sample of thirty-eight Be-stars (including Pi Aqr), which during the last ten to fifteen years have shown a variation in V larger than 0.15 magnitude, are also analyzed by means of UBV data. The variations are found to be such that twenty-four stars exhibit on the average increasing (B-V) values and decreasing (U-B) values when the visual magnitude brightens. The light variations and their spectral behavior can qualitatively be understood if the circumstellar regions are variable with time.
