The optical/UV part of the spectrum of GQ Comae (1202+281) is analyzed. It is accepted that the optical/UV/soft X-ray big bump in Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) spectra is caused by the thermal radiation from an accretion disc. Attributing the observed variability in AGN spectra to the accretion disc instabilities, both the continuum shape and variability of GQ Comae can be explained. Constraints on some model parameters are established.
