Ginga observations revealed spectral variations in Seyfert galaxies, NGC4051, NGC5548, NGC7469, MCG-6-30-15, and IC4329A. These variations are described by spectral index changes, correlated with luminosity. A variation delta gamma equal to 0.3 to 0.4 around gamma equal to 1.7 is associated with a change by a factor of 3 to 4 of the intensity. An empirical formula of delta gamma is derived in the 2 to 30 keV band from the analysis of two rapid variable Seyfert galaxies, NGC4051 and MCG-6-30-15. The observed positive correlation between the spectral index and luminosity might originate from the central source near a black hole, providing a strong constraint on radiative models.
