An analysis of the features of distribution of the craters over the lunar and martian surfaces was carried out on the base of data banks of the craters with diameters more than 10 km. Data bank of lunar craters including 14,923 craters and the martian one - 19,301 crater were compiled at the Sternberg State Astronomical Institute. The craters were divided into 5 classes depending upon the degree of degradation and referenced depth.
