UBVRI and DDO photometry of reference stars used in the Allegheny Observatory (AO) astrometric program was obtained to determine spectral types and luminosity classifications. The photometric spectral types are consistent with published spectral types to within 2.5 spectral subclasses. Luminosity classifications are within half of a luminosity class of the published values. The spectral types and the luminosity classes are used to determine the absolute visual magnitudes from which photometric parallaxes may be determined for use in the AO astrometric program.
