In this paper, observations of M83 with high signal-to-noise (DSD type) have been deconvolved using a maximum-entropy algorithm. Crucial elements in the deconvolution process, such as the form of the noise on the IRAS images, are investigated. Results indicate that the most satisfactory deconvolutions involved the use of a noise map produced by the difference between the processed images from two independent image scans. Maps with resolutions better than 30 arcsec have been produced showing morphological details similar to that of the gas content of M83. A morphology similar to that observed in the nonthermal radio is also noted.
